Beautiful Ugly is the oversized transformation of an iconic Australian piece of flora the seed pod of the Old-man Banksia. The works idea is to highlight the stark beauty and the resilience of the tree to protect the seeds eject them after a bush fire. The material comes into play with the added strength of steel.
